Lori Mitchell's beloved Oz collection, inspired by the novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, is back in stock and available to ship.

Written in 1900, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is the first novel in Baum's Oz series, written about Dorothy, a Kansas farm girl who ends up in the land of Oz with her dog Toto, after being swept away from their home by a tornado. 

Along her journey through Oz, Dorothy meets some memorable friends, including a scarecrow, a lion and a tin woodsman.

She also comes across many perils, caused by the Wicked Witch of the East (who is avenging the death or her sister, who was killed when Dorothy's house lands on her!) and her gang of flying monkeys.

Dorothy and her friends follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City where they meet the Wizard of Oz.

In the end, Dorothy finds her way home, with the guidance of Glinda, the good witch.

The book was made into a musical play that debuted in 1902 and famously adapted into the 1930 film The Wizard of Oz, starring Judy Garland.

Lori's pieces bring to life Baum's characters which were originally illustrated by Baum's friend W.W. Denslow.
